My serenity has been tested in the last few days. I"m trying really hard to give everything to God...to say the serenity prayer and REALLY mean it! It's tough. Between forgetting to take my meds last weekend....having lots of bills....my car going on the blink....and some friendship potholes...I feel like I could kick something! I just keep going though. I wish I could find the AA meeting in Cortez...I would go...I swear I need a meeting, and I haven't been going to the ones in Mancos. My fault...but there is only two. Why don't you call your sponsor, Jeanne??
Oh...and my self-esteem was tested as well! Was told that the music group I was in didn't 'need' a keyboard player anymore. Now, I understand that...and I don't have any hard feelings about that. It's very possible that they don't need a keyboard player....but it's the way they did it that kind of pissed me off. I mean, what if I had really had my heart set on playing in the group? It was pretty much a volunteer thing....we were seeing how we sound together...and I didn't think it was a matter of 'needing' a certain instrument. But...oh well. I didn't think I could devote the necessary time to what they were doing anyway. It's for the best. It just stung at the time.
Really really enjoyed the hike that I had in Hovenweep National Monument last week!! I want to continue to do things like that...hike in and among the ruins in this area. I think there is so much to see around here, that I doubt that I'll run out of places to go! They are peaceful....quiet...spiritual....I love being there...
